Pasadena Waldorf School

Eurythmy Teacher Needed

Preschool through Grade 8

A private, non-profit school for children in early childhood through grade eight, Pasadena Waldorf is a welcoming retreat from suburban congestion nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. Our beautiful oak- and deodar-studded five-acre site includes the stately Scripps mansion, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Founded in 1979, Pasadena Waldorf is a well-established, stable school with curriculum and programs based on Rudolf Steiner’s picture of child development and educational principles, as well as the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) Shared Principles. We strive for a culturally, ethnically, socio-economically diverse student body, with a current enrollment of 222 in kindergarten through grade 8. The opening of our preschool in the fall of 2007 completed our early childhood program, and an initiative group is working toward opening a high school in fall, 2012. Our active, mutually supportive faculty enjoys competitive salaries, a generous employee benefit program including funds for paid sabbatical and professional development, full tuition remission for enrolled children, a medical plan, and a retirement plan. Having completed our long-range plan, we are currently engaged in the AWSNA accreditation process. The Los Angeles Branch of the Anthroposophical Society and Library is located nearby in Pasadena.
